What Vantyx stores
Vantyx is a private service run by Oscar Tjernberg for family and friends, by invitation only.
About you
- Your name and email address.
- Your password, only as a one-way hash: nobody can read it back.
- For each signed-in session: when it started, your IP address and your browser's identification, kept while the session is valid; expired sessions are deleted every night.
- What you enter or import: accounts, transactions, portfolios, selections and screening criteria.
Where
On a Raspberry Pi in the owner's home in Sweden. An encrypted copy of the database is made every night and kept in the owner's Dropbox for up to 8 weeks. Connections pass through Cloudflare, which protects the site.
Not done
No advertising, analytics or tracking, and nothing is sold or shared. The only cookie is the sign-in cookie. Pages and fonts come from vantyx.se itself.
Your choice
Ask the owner to see your data or to delete your account. Your account and everything you entered are deleted at once, and they leave the backups within 8 weeks.
